Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Peers, an AI matchmaking service that helps people in the same event, community, or network find and be introduced to one another. By adding Peers to your AI assistant or otherwise using the service, you agree to these terms.

1. What Peers does

Peers is a matchmaking layer you use through your own AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, and similar) over the Model Context Protocol (MCP). You privately tell your assistant what you're looking for and what you offer; Peers listens to both sides of a space and proposes an introduction only where both people are likely to benefit. Nothing you tell Peers is posted publicly. By joining a space, you consent to Peers introducing you to genuinely complementary matches directly — you stay in control and can switch to approve-each-intro-first, or opt out of introductions entirely, at any time. See Section 5.

2. Eligibility and your account

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding agreement.
• You're responsible for the accuracy of what you (or your assistant on your behalf) submit, and for keeping your access credentials secure.
• An organizer who creates a space is responsible for having a lawful basis to invite the people they bring into it.

3. Acceptable use

When using Peers, you agree not to:

• Submit information about other people that you have no right to share.
• Use introductions for spam, unsolicited bulk marketing, harassment, or any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to de-anonymize, scrape, or extract other members' data outside the introductions Peers makes under each member's consent settings.
• Interfere with, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.

4. Your content and the license you grant us

You keep ownership of the information you submit — your needs, offers, profile, and the "memories" your assistant records. You grant Peers a limited license to store and process that information for the sole purpose of operating the service: matching you, generating introductions, and improving match quality for your spaces. How we handle this data is described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Introductions and consent

By default, when Peers finds a genuinely mutual match, it introduces you directly — sharing the contact details (email, and LinkedIn or phone if you added them) you've made available — without a separate per-introduction approval step. You agree to this when you join a space, and you stay in control of it the whole time:

• Say "ask me before intros" (or ask your assistant to set your consent mode to approve-first) to require your explicit yes on each introduction before any contact details are shared.
• Say "opt me out" to stop receiving introductions entirely, at any time.
• Whichever side of a pair has the stricter setting governs that introduction — an auto-default member is never introduced to someone who requires approval-first without that person's approval.

You control which contact channels you make available, and every introduction email tells you how to change your preference or leave the space.

6. Plans and billing

Peers offers a Free plan and paid (Pro) plans. The organizer or owner of a space is the paying party for that space. Paid plans are billed through our payment processor (Stripe) as a subscription or one-time upgrade, as shown at checkout. You can cancel a subscription at any time; it remains active through the end of the current billing period, after which the space returns to the Free plan. Except where required by law, payments already made are non-refundable.

7. Leaving, deletion, and termination

You can leave any space and delete your data — from a single space or from Peers entirely — at any time, simply by asking your assistant (for example, "leave this space" or "delete my Peers data"). Details, including our retention window, are in Your data & how to delete it. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms.

8. AI and no guarantee of outcomes

Peers uses AI to interpret what you're looking for and to draft introductions. Matches and generated text are best-effort and may be imperfect — Peers does not guarantee any particular match, response, or outcome, and you should use your own judgment before acting on an introduction.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Peers and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability arising from the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
